How could massage help me?
It's important to remember that as with all treatment/therapies, what works for one person may not benefit another. For this reason complimentary health therapists are required to advise of the 'possible' benefits of massage under the rules of the Advertising Standards Authority. Therefore I am able to say that massage 'might'; create a feeling of mental/physical well being, aid the repair/recovery of muscles, improve muscle tone, increase waste removal & supply of nutrients, increase synovial fluid in joints, relieve stress & promote relaxation, improve circulation, decrease muscle tension. You will only know if massage benefits you by booking in for a treatment.
Do you have any special offers?
We offer discounts for block bookings a loyalty scheme for regular customers and a refer a friend discount.
What happens during a treatment?
A short consultation (approx 10 minutes) will take place to discuss each clients lifestyle and medical history to provide an appropriate treatment. An explanation regarding lying position, clothing/jewellery removal, towel draping will follow. The therapist will then leave the room to allow you to make yourself comfortable whilst listening to tranquil music. Upon re-entering the room, the therapist ensures you are warm and content. The treatment begins with soft relaxing massage strokes to apply massage oil and warm the skin. The strokes develop to work any problem areas deeper and finishes with light holds to ground the client.
Can anyone with any medical condition receive a massage?
There are some medical conditions that are known as a contra indication to massage, meaning that treatment is not recommended for either client or therapist safety. This could be applicable to an individual body part i.e a fractured arm or prevent any form of treatment taking place, this is established during the consultation.
Can I receive a massage if I am pregnant?
Yes once you are out of your first trimester. A full body massage can be adapted to suits your needs with you lying in a side position to make you as comfortable as possible.
What is the difference between a holistic massage & a standard massage?
Holistic massage considers each client as an individual and as such each treatment to adapted to how that client feels on the day of the treatment instead of the therapist completing a one type fits all routine massage.
Can I still have a treatment if I do not feel comfortable removing clothing?
